We guarantee the authenticity of every piece we sell, for as long as you own it. If any item is ever shown by a recognised authority to be other than described, we will refund it in full, at any time, no questions asked.

Designer pieces

Chanel, Hermès, Gucci and other house pieces are examined in hand by our specialists for construction, hardware, stamping, serials and materials, and cross-checked against reference archives. Where available, we include original receipts, boxes and dust bags, and note their presence on the listing.

Native American jewelry

Squash blossoms, cuffs, bolos and concho belts are examined for silver content, stone origin, construction method and hallmark. Where a piece is attributed to a named artist or specific region, we say how we know. Where we are not sure, we say "artist unknown" and price accordingly. We comply fully with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act.

Boots, hats and leather

Lucchese, Tony Lama, Stetson and their peers are dated by stamps, construction and materials. Resoles and repairs are always disclosed.

Condition grading

Excellent — near-flawless for its age. Very good — loved and worn, with character we describe precisely. Good — visible wear, priced to reflect it. We photograph every flaw we mention.
